Holly McNally (and Barry) at Happy Hounds in Moreton is an excellent trainer.
Particularly impressive is the bond she forms with the dog, in my case, a 40kg working line GSD with bags of energy.
She understands his requirements both in a training setting and in the group daycare setting, ensuring his personal needs are considered and that he gets what he needs in terms of development and enrichment.
As such, I am now able to walk him off lead through a crowd with other dogs barking at him and he’ll just follow my lead and command. Of course my family has to put the effort in, in terms of practice and repetition but Holly is there to guide that too.
On more than a couple of occasions, untrained and reactive dogs off lead have ran at my dog and got in his face - to the point where it could have been a nasty dog fight but the training and the trust developed through Holly’s training have allowed me to command my pooch to avoid and recall to me and then sit behind me, where I can advocate for the dog.
I am at the point where I am not worried about any situation when he is on or off lead.
More importantly, the dog enjoys his time with Holly and is all over her as soon as he sees her. After day care and training with her, he returns to me knackered and then dreams most of the evening !

As a first time dog owner listening to multiple people’s instructions, Holly took me and Obi ( but mainly me ) in hand. She has a very natural way with dogs and they love her. I now have a very amazing flat coat retriever , who people actually comment how good he is. Mainly credit to Holly !
I would absolutely , and have, recommended Holly as a trainer , to friends.

Holly McNally from Happy Hounds Training Academy has been a life saviour due to a change in my circumstances and needing a confident person to look after my reactive dogs whilst away with work quite regularly at the moment.
From the first meet and within five minutes of meeting the dogs she literally had them eating out of her hand and the 1st walk / session went great and she even got kisses off my rather naughty boy Blu. The 2nd walk/ meet today couldn’t have gone any better as soon as we walked out of the house gobby Amber had a few shout outs but Blu saw Holly and literally ran to her!!
Holly’s confidence is what’s making this work, she is very grounded and calm which the dogs very clearly feel comfortable around.
For the first time in 10 years leaving the dogs with someone new has been highly stressful for me but now that we have met Holly I can rest assured that the dogs will be in very safe hands.

An amazing place for doggy day care with an amazing team of staff. My 2 year old cavapoo has attended Happy Hounds for two years and was just 5 months old when her doggy day care adventure began. What an adventure she has had. Lots of play and meaningful exercise and of course lots of cuddles throughout the day. I would say a home from home but my pooch probably gets more attention at Happy Hounds. We absolutely love the place and I know my pooch is safe from the moment I drop her off in the morning at 7.00am and collect her at 5.00pm. I don't think my pooch really misses me because she has made so many furry friends and her human friends are always there for cuddles. Love you all at Happy Hounds.

Can’t rate Happy Hounds enough … we only have to mention the word Happy Hounds to Ted and he is bouncing around and races through the doors excited to go. The staff are attentive and you feel at ease leaving your fur baby with them, as you are constantly updated with photographs throughout the day. Our dog gets excited when he sees all the staff and that speaks for itself! We want to thank Beth and the staff for allowing us to book Ted in often last minute or occasionally having to tweak hours and always being accommodating! Keep up the good work ! Xx
