Nicola was incremental in getting my son through the 12+ and working with her was an absolute pleasure. She was patient and kind yet held high expectations for my son, who is neurodiverse. Her experience was invaluable and he would not have gotten through without her. Nicola has been great with both my son (11+) and daughter (12+). Nicky truly came to the rescue for us when my son took the 11plus and Anselm’s exams. He had been attending lessons at a ‘shop-front’ organisation, and during the very brief chats at the end of sessions we had been led to believe that all was well. However, we grew concerned with his lack of progress, and with just a few weeks to go until the first exam date, we approached Nicky.
From the outset Nicky was honest and clear about the significant amount of work that still needed to be done, and that there was no guarantee of a pass. There was no spin or sugar coating and we felt that we were finally receiving an honest, thorough appraisal of his readiness for the exams. Within a few weeks Nicky took our son from a very uncertain and unconfident position to passing with flying colours, and he now attends his ‘first-choice’ school.
